Acid environment inhibitors

Chemicals developed to protect metal surfaces from corrosion due to mineral acids, organic acids, oxygenated acids or particular acid blends. We can manage the corrosion protection at low temperature and high, over 150°C.

Corrosion inhibitors are water soluble/dispersable, compatible with most common chemicals used in acidizing blends and are cost effective, working at low dosages. They are extremely film persistent inhibitors at even high shear stress conditions.

NCW 06

Specifically developed for applications involving mineral acids, such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), hydrofluoric acid (HF) and their blends. Designed for medium-temperature operating conditions, this formulation protects metallic surfaces from corrosion during acidising, cleaning, and stimulation treatments.

NCW 24

Same as NCW 06, this corrosion inhibitor is also designed for applications involving mineral acids, such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), hydrofluoric acid (HF) and their blends. The formulation provides effective protection of metallic surfaces during acidising, cleaning, and stimulation operations, minimizing metal loss and maintaining equipment integrity across a wide range of operating temperatures, including high-temperature environments.

NCW 13

High performance corrosion inhibitor designed for systems containing organic acids, including formic acid, acetic acid, and related acid formulations. The product forms a protective film on metal surfaces, maintaining the corrosion rate and the pitting under the threshold in several circumstances. Suitable for use in stimulations and industrial processes where effective corrosion control is required under challenging operating conditions.

These products are specialised protective formulations designed to preserve the integrity of tubulars, tools, strings and equipment during storage, transportation, and between different operations. By providing a durable barrier against corrosion, moisture, organic fouling and aggressive environmental conditions, these products help extend equipment life, reduce maintenance requirements, and ensure operational reliability.

Suitable for both onshore and offshore applications as they are non-flammable, with high flash point (>+61°C).

MET PRo 11

This is Hocsol’s high performance metal surface protective agent, containing no light volatile solvents. It has been designed to provide protection against corrosion during maintenance or storage. MET PRO 11 is an inhibitor for external surfaces, water-based, non-flammable formulation suitable also for use in offshore installations and refineries.

ICOS M02

ICOS M02 is a multipurpose special formulation developed to preserve the internal surfaces of tubulars, pipes and equipment against corrosion and contamination. Designed to provide long-lasting protection during storage and transportation, it forms a protective barrier that helps maintain the integrity of internal metal surfaces.

Sulphide stress cracking

In the presence of Hydrogen Sulfide or Carbon Dioxide the corrosion is recognised as a serious problem that requires control.
Our inhibitors work well in both sweet and sour condition.

They have strong adsorption ability on the steel surface, forming a good protective layer, which isolates the surface from the aggressive environment. They are soluble in most organic solvents and partly dispersible in water. Their strong interaction with metal surface ensures high performance even in high shear stress conditions.

NCS 01

Developed to prevent hydrogen sulphite cracking of high strength steel in sour brine waters. It protects against cracking, corrosion that can cause failures in stressed steels such as coiled tubing. When used as part of the treatment program, additional H₂S scavenging is not required.

NCS 02

High performance inhibitor for H₂S and CO₂, this product is developed against cracking due to Hydrogen Sulfide and contains a strong filming agent. NCS 02 also acts as a neutralising agent to protect against CO₂ corrosion attacks.

Corrosion inhibitor intensifiers

They are specialty additives designed to enhance the performance of corrosion inhibitor formulations in highly aggressive environments.

Depending on the inhibitor used, selecting the appropriate intensifier can have a significant impact on keeping corrosion rate and pitting under control.

INCI 20

This iodine-based intensifier is designed to enhance the performance and persistence of corrosion inhibitor films in high-acid concentration environments.

INCI 40

This antimony-based intensifier is formulated for high-temperature acidising operations involving mineral acids and mud acids.
